John Langell is an American physician, surgeon, and academic administrator known for his contributions to medical education and healthcare innovation. He currently serves as the President of Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED).

Early life and education[edit | edit source]

John Langell was born in the United States. He pursued his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. Following his undergraduate studies, Langell attended the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

Langell furthered his education by completing a residency in general surgery at the University of Utah. During his residency, he developed a keen interest in healthcare innovation and medical technology. To complement his medical training, Langell pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business. He also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, which he earned to enhance his understanding of public health systems and policy.
