Joseph H. Shull (Pennsylvania Congressman)

Joseph H. Shull (1848 – 1944) was an American politician and lawyer who served as a member of the United States House of Representatives from Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Democratic Party.

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Joseph H. Shull was born on August 17, 1848, in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He attended the local public schools and later graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in law.

After completing his education, Shull was admitted to the bar and began practicing law in Stroudsburg. He quickly gained a reputation as a skilled lawyer and became involved in local politics.

Shull's political career began at the local level, where he served in various capacities. He was elected to the Pennsylvania State Senate, where he served from 1886 to 1890.
