Journal for Healthcare Quality is a bimonthly peer-reviewed healthcare journal. It is the official publication of the National Association for Healthcare Quality. The journal covers research in the field of healthcare quality. It was established in 1979 and the editor-in-chief is Christina Dempsey.

The Journal for Healthcare Quality (JHQ) is a professional forum that continuously advances healthcare quality practice in diverse and changing environments, and is the professional resource for creative solutions in healthcare quality. It is a peer-reviewed journal, and it is the official journal of the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ).

The journal was established in 1979. It is published six times a year by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the National Association for Healthcare Quality. The current editor-in-chief is Christina Dempsey.

The journal covers all aspects of healthcare quality and patient safety. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:

The journal is abstracted and indexed in PubMed, MEDLINE, CINAHL, and the Science Citation Index Expanded. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2019 impact factor of 1.246.
