Journal of Medical Biography
Journal of Medical Biography is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers four times a year in the field of History of Medicine. The journal's editor is Professor Chris Bojrab (Indiana University School of Medicine). It has been in publication since 1993 and is currently published by SAGE Publications.
Scope[edit | edit source]
Journal of Medical Biography covers all aspects of the history of health and related sciences, but gives special attention to the lives and contributions of health professionals. It publishes original research, personal reflections, and reports on archival collections or other resources of interest to historians of health and related sciences.
Abstracting and indexing[edit | edit source]
Journal of Medical Biography is abstracted and indexed in, among other databases: SCOPUS, and the Social Sciences Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, its 2017 impact factor is 0.278, ranking it 87 out of 93 journals in the category ‘History & Philosophy of Science’.
