Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine is a peer-reviewed medical journal. It was established in 1809 as the Medico-Chirurgical Transactions published by the Royal Medical and Chirurgical Society of London. It acquired its current name in 1907 when the Royal Medical and Chirurgical Society merged with several other societies to form the Royal Society of Medicine, with the respective journals merging to form the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine.
