Judy Robson is an American politician and former nurse who served as a member of the Wisconsin State Senate and the Wisconsin State Assembly. She was born on December 23, 1939, in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Robson attended St. Joseph School of Nursing in Marshfield, Wisconsin, where she earned her nursing diploma. She later received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

Career in Nursing[edit | edit source]

Before entering politics, Robson worked as a registered nurse and was a faculty member at Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville, Wisconsin. Her background in healthcare influenced her legislative priorities, particularly in the areas of public health and nursing education.

Political Career[edit | edit source]

Robson was first elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1987, representing the 45th Assembly District. She served in the Assembly until 1996, when she was elected to the Wisconsin State Senate for the 15th Senate District. During her tenure in the Senate, she held various leadership positions, including Senate Minority Leader and Senate Majority Leader.
