Justus ǁGaroëb

Justus ǁGaroëb is a prominent Namibian political figure and leader of the United Democratic Front (UDF). He has been a significant figure in Namibian politics since the country's independence in 1990.

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

ǁGaroëb was born in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. He completed his primary and secondary education in Namibia before moving to South Africa for further studies. He graduated from the University of Cape Town with a degree in Political Science.

Political Career[edit | edit source]

ǁGaroëb began his political career as a member of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO). He later left SWAPO and joined the UDF, where he has served as the party's leader since its inception.

Under his leadership, the UDF has become one of the major opposition parties in Namibia. ǁGaroëb has been a vocal critic of the ruling SWAPO party and has advocated for greater transparency and accountability in government.

Personal Life[edit | edit source]

ǁGaroëb is married and has three children. He is a member of the Damara ethnic group and speaks Khoekhoe, English, and Afrikaans.
