KOPASKA
KOPASKA (Komando Pasukan Katak) is the elite naval special forces unit of the Indonesian Navy. The name "KOPASKA" is an abbreviation of "Komando Pasukan Katak," which translates to "Frogman Command Unit" in English. This unit specializes in underwater demolition, counter-terrorism, and special reconnaissance.

KOPASKA was established on March 31, 1962, by then President Sukarno. The unit was initially formed to support the Operation Trikora mission aimed at the liberation of Western New Guinea from Dutch control. Since its inception, KOPASKA has been involved in various military operations and has grown to become one of the most respected special forces units in the region.
