KPIX-TV is a television station licensed to San Francisco, California, United States. It serves as the CBS network's owned-and-operated station for the San Francisco Bay Area. KPIX-TV is owned by Paramount Global through its CBS News and Stations division. The station's studios are located on Battery Street, just north of San Francisco's Financial District, and its transmitter is located atop Sutro Tower.

KPIX-TV was the first television station in Northern California, signing on the air on December 22, 1948. It was originally owned by the Associated Broadcasters, owners of KSFO radio. The station was a primary affiliate of the CBS television network from its inception, and it has maintained this affiliation ever since.

In 1956, KPIX was purchased by Westinghouse Electric Corporation, which later became known as Group W. In 1995, Westinghouse acquired CBS, making KPIX a CBS owned-and-operated station. In 2000, CBS merged with Viacom, and KPIX became part of the newly formed ViacomCBS, which was later renamed Paramount Global.

KPIX-TV broadcasts a variety of programming, including local news, weather, and sports. The station produces several hours of local newscasts each day, with a focus on issues affecting the Bay Area community. KPIX is also known for its investigative journalism and special reports.
