Denopamine


Denopamine is a cardiotonic agent, which is a type of drug that increases the contractility of the heart. It is classified as a beta1-adrenergic agonist, meaning it stimulates the beta1-adrenergic receptors in the heart, leading to increased heart rate and contractility.

Pharmacology[edit]

Denopamine primarily acts on the beta1-adrenergic receptor, a type of G protein-coupled receptor found in the heart and kidneys. By binding to these receptors, denopamine mimics the action of epinephrine and norepinephrine, natural hormones that stimulate the heart.
