Koliganek is a census-designated place (CDP) in Dillingham Census Area, Alaska, United States. The population was 183 at the 2020 census.

Koliganek is the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 42.5 square kilometers, of which 41.9 square kilometers is land and 0.6 square kilometers is water.

Demographics[edit | edit source]

As of the census of 2020, there were 183 people residing in the CDP. The population density was calculated based on the land area.

Economy[edit | edit source]

The economy of Koliganek is primarily based on subsistence activities. Residents engage in fishing, hunting, and gathering to support their livelihoods. The community is also involved in limited commercial fishing activities.

Koliganek is served by the Southwest Region School District. The local school provides education for children from kindergarten through high school.

Koliganek is accessible by air via the Koliganek Airport, which provides flights to and from Dillingham and other nearby communities. There are no roads connecting Koliganek to the Alaska road system.
