Kusmi Tea is a brand of tea that was originally established in Russia in 1867. The company was founded by Pavel Michailovitch Kousmichoff and has since become renowned for its wide range of traditional and innovative tea blends.

History[edit | edit source]

Pavel Michailovitch Kousmichoff, a peasant from the Tver region, started the business in Saint Petersburg, where he opened his first shop in 1867. The business expanded rapidly, and by the turn of the 20th century, Kusmi Tea had become one of the largest tea companies in Russia, with 11 shops in various cities.

In 1917, due to the Russian Revolution, the Kousmichoff family fled to London, and later to Paris, where they re-established their tea business. The Paris store, located on Avenue Niel, is still in operation today.

Products[edit | edit source]

Kusmi Tea offers a wide range of products, including traditional black teas, green teas, and herbal teas. The company is particularly known for its Russian blends, such as Prince Vladimir and Anastasia, which are based on traditional Russian tea recipes. In addition to these, Kusmi Tea also offers a variety of wellness teas, such as Detox and Boost.

Production and Distribution[edit | edit source]

Kusmi Tea products are distributed worldwide, both through the company's own boutiques and through a network of retailers. The company also sells its products online, offering worldwide shipping.
