Lagenidiosis

Lagenidiosis is a disease caused by the fungus Lagenidium giganteum. This fungus infects aquatic animals, primarily mosquitoes, and can cause significant mortality in infected populations. It is known for its ability to form large, visible spores on the surface of the host's body, which can be seen with the naked eye.
