- Lake Wisconsin is a community located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It is a census-designated place (CDP) in Columbia and Sauk Counties. The community is named after the lake on which it is situated, Lake Wisconsin. The lake, in turn, was named after the state itself.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Lake Wisconsin is located in the central part of the state, approximately 25 miles north of the state capital, Madison. The community is spread out along the southern shore of Lake Wisconsin, a large reservoir on the Wisconsin River.

- As of the 2010 census, the population of Lake Wisconsin was 4,123. The community is primarily residential, with a mix of year-round homes and seasonal cottages.
