History

Lantmännen was founded in 2001 through the merger of several regional agricultural cooperatives in Sweden. The cooperative has its roots in the Swedish agricultural movement that began in the late 19th century, aiming to improve the economic conditions for farmers through cooperation and shared resources.

Operations

Lantmännen operates in four main sectors:

Agriculture

Energy

Lantmännen is involved in the production and distribution of renewable energy. The cooperative produces biofuels, such as ethanol and biodiesel, and operates several biogas plants. Lantmännen also invests in wind power and other renewable energy sources.

Food
