Co-founding Snapple[edit | edit source]
In 1972, Leonard Marsh, along with his childhood friends Hyman Golden and Arnold Greenberg, co-founded Snapple. The company initially started as a small business selling natural fruit juices to health food stores. However, under Marsh's leadership, Snapple quickly expanded its product line and distribution network.
Success and Growth[edit | edit source]
Under Leonard Marsh's guidance, Snapple experienced remarkable success and growth throughout the 1980s and 1990s. The company's unique marketing strategies, including quirky advertising campaigns and innovative packaging, helped Snapple stand out in a crowded beverage market.

In 1994, Quaker Oats Company acquired Snapple for a staggering $1.7 billion. However, the acquisition did not go as planned, and Quaker Oats faced significant challenges in managing the brand. Leonard Marsh, along with his co-founders, seized the opportunity and repurchased Snapple in 1997 for a fraction of the price.
Marsh's dedication and commitment to Snapple's success continued even after the repurchase. He played an instrumental role in rebuilding the brand and restoring its reputation. In 2000, Snapple was sold to Cadbury Schweppes, now known as Dr Pepper Snapple Group, for $1.45 billion.
Later Years and Philanthropy[edit | edit source]
