- Lincoln Heights was incorporated as a village in 1946, making it one of the first African-American self-governing communities in the United States. The village has a rich history that is deeply rooted in the civil rights movement.

- Lincoln Heights is located at 39°14′35″N 84°27′28″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.69 square miles, all land.

- As of the 2010 census, there were 3,286 people, 1,275 households, and 835 families residing in the village. The racial makeup of the village was 94.3% African American, 2.1% White, 0.2% Native American, 0.1% Asian, 0.7% from other races, and 2.6% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.4% of the population.
