Lisa Lampanelli (born July 19, 1961) is a retired American stand-up comedian and insult comic. Known for her racy and controversial style, Lampanelli has been a prominent figure in the world of comedy.

Lisa Lampanelli was born Lisa Marie Lampugnale in Trumbull, Connecticut. She attended Roman Catholic schools and later graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in journalism. Lampanelli also attended Harvard University for a brief period.

Lampanelli began her career in the early 1990s, performing in New York City comedy clubs. She gained national attention with her performance at the New York Friars' Club roast of Chevy Chase in 2002. Her sharp wit and fearless approach to comedy quickly made her a favorite at Comedy Central roasts, where she roasted celebrities such as Pamela Anderson, William Shatner, and Donald Trump.
