List of rum producers

From WikiMD's Wellness Encyclopedia

Rum is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from sugarcane byproducts, such as molasses, or directly from sugarcane juice, by a process of fermentation and distillation. The distillate, a clear liquid, is then usually aged in oak barrels. This list includes notable companies that produce, or have produced, rum.

Rum production[edit | edit source]

Rum production varies from one country to another and does not have a single method of production. The process involves the fermentation of sugarcane juice or molasses, which is then distilled to produce a spirit. The spirit is then aged in barrels, often made of oak, to develop its flavor.
