Lobster bisque is a low carbohydrate / keto friendly food item.
Overview[edit | edit source]
Keto Lobster Bisque offers a luxurious, rich, and creamy seafood experience while staying true to the principles of the ketogenic diet. Made predominantly from lobster meat, cream, and flavorful aromatics, this bisque delivers on flavor without compromising carb intake.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 2 lobster tails (steamed and meat removed)
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup white wine (or chicken broth)
- 2 cups chicken broth or seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- Optional: 1 tsp tomato paste for color and a touch of flavor
Preparation[edit | edit source]
- In a pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
- Add in the white wine (or broth) and let it reduce by half.
- Stir in the chicken or seafood stock, heavy cream, paprika, and tomato paste (if using). Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the lobster meat into the pot, letting it simmer for another 5-7 minutes.
- Using an immersion blender, carefully blend the bisque until smooth. (Alternatively, you can transfer the bisque to a blender.)
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle in the fresh parsley.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional lobster meat or a sprinkle of paprika.
Serving Suggestions[edit | edit source]
- This bisque can be served as a starter or a main dish.
