Louisburg is a city located in Miami County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 4,315. It is part of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.

Louisburg was laid out in 1868. It was named after the city of Louisburg, North Carolina, the site of the Battle of Louisburg during the American Revolutionary War.

Geography[edit | edit source]

Louisburg is located at 38°37′15″N 94°40′59″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.68 square miles, of which, 5.66 square miles is land and 0.02 square miles is water.
