MTM Enterprises
MTM Enterprises was an American independent production company established in 1969 by Mary Tyler Moore and her then-husband Grant Tinker. The company is best known for producing a number of successful television series during the 1970s and 1980s.

MTM Enterprises was founded in 1969, initially to produce The Mary Tyler Moore Show, which aired on CBS. The show was a critical and commercial success, leading to the creation of several spin-offs and other series.

Logo[edit | edit source]
The company's logo featured a kitten named Mimsie, which appeared at the end of their television shows. The logo was a parody of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) logo, which features a roaring lion.
Acquisition[edit | edit source]
In 1988, MTM Enterprises was sold to TVS Entertainment, a British company. Later, in 1992, it was acquired by International Family Entertainment, and eventually became part of 20th Century Fox Television.
Legacy[edit | edit source]
MTM Enterprises is remembered for its high-quality programming and its significant impact on American television. Many of its shows received critical acclaim and won numerous awards, including Emmy Awards.
