- Madison County is a county located in the U.S. state of Nebraska. As of the 2020 census, the population was 35,099. Its county seat is Madison. The county was named after James Madison, the fourth President of the United States.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Madison County is located in the northeastern part of Nebraska. It is bordered by Pierce County to the north, Stanton County to the east, Platte County to the south, and Boone County to the west. The county has a total area of 575 square miles, of which 573 square miles is land and 2.1 square miles is water.

- As of the 2020 census, there were 35,099 people, 13,500 households, and 9,300 families residing in the county. The population density was 61 people per square mile. The racial makeup of the county was 89.7% White, 0.3% Black or African American, 1.2% Native American, 1.1% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 5.6% from other races, and 2.1% from two or more races. 10.8% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
