Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati Medical College and Hospital

Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati Medical College and Hospital is a government medical college and hospital located in Brahmapur, Odisha, India. It was established in 1962 as a medical college and 1966 as a hospital. The institution was later renamed after Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati, the late Maharaja of Parlakhemundi, Ganjam. The college also has a nursing college, which was established in 1983 and is the first nursing college in Odisha.

The college operates with 23 clinical departments, 8 non-clinical and para-clinical departments, and has a total of 1190 beds. It provides medical education to 250 undergraduate students, 116 post-graduate medical students, and offers various diploma courses in medical laboratory technology and medical radiation technology.

As the only major medical institution in Southern Odisha, MKCG Medical College and Hospital serves as a referral hospital and has a separate blood bank building. It also has a tele-medicine unit provided by ISRO. The hospital recently completed a Regional Diagnostic Centre building, equipped with facilities for sophisticated diagnosis and investigation.

The campus of MKCG Medical College and Hospital is the largest among government medical colleges in Odisha. It includes residential quarters for the teaching and non-teaching staff.
