Mamadou Sakho
Mamadou Sakho (born 13 February 1990) is a French professional footballer who plays as a centre back. Over the course of his career, Sakho has been known for his physical strength, defensive reliability, and leadership on the field. He has played for clubs in France, England, and Greece, and has been capped by the France national football team.

Mamadou Sakho was born in Paris, France, to Senegalese parents. He joined the youth academy of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at a young age, where he developed his skills as a defender.

Paris Saint-Germain[edit | edit source]
Sakho made his professional debut for PSG in 2007, quickly establishing himself as a key player for the club. He was part of the PSG team that won the Ligue 1 title in the 2012-2013 season, among other domestic trophies.
Liverpool F.C.[edit | edit source]
In 2013, Sakho moved to the English club Liverpool F.C., where he continued to demonstrate his defensive capabilities. During his time at Liverpool, he contributed to the team reaching the final of the UEFA Europa League in the 2015-2016 season.
Crystal Palace F.C.[edit | edit source]
In 2017, Sakho signed with Crystal Palace F.C., another English Premier League club. His tenure at Crystal Palace was marked by his leadership in the defense, although his time at the club was also marred by injuries.
Montpellier HSC[edit | edit source]
In 2021, Sakho returned to France to play for Montpellier HSC, continuing his career in Ligue 1.

Mamadou Sakho has been capped by the France national football team, making his senior debut in 2010. He played a significant role in France's qualification for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, scoring two goals in a crucial playoff match against Ukraine.
