Manoj Bhargava was born on March 29, 1953, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. He moved to the United States at the age of 14 and attended Princeton University, where he studied electrical engineering.

After completing his studies, Bhargava started a career in business. In 2003, he founded Living Essentials LLC, the company behind the popular energy drink, 5-hour Energy. The drink quickly gained popularity and became one of the leading energy drinks in the market.

Apart from his success in the business world, Bhargava is also known for his philanthropic efforts. In 2012, he established the Hans Foundation, a charitable organization that focuses on providing healthcare, education, and clean energy solutions to underprivileged communities in India.
