Matanuska-Susitna Borough, AK Matanuska-Susitna Borough (often referred to as the Mat-Su Borough) is a borough located in the U.S. state of Alaska. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 107,081. The borough seat is Palmer, and the largest city is Wasilla.

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough encompasses a total area of 25,258 square miles (65,410 km²), of which 24,608 square miles (63,720 km²) is land and 650 square miles (1,700 km²) (2.6%) is water. The borough is known for its diverse geography, which includes the Matanuska River, the Susitna River, and the Talkeetna Mountains.
