Maxwell House International was originally launched as General Foods International Coffees in 1982. The brand was part of the larger General Foods Corporation, which was later merged with Kraft Foods Inc. in 1990. In 2003, the brand was renamed Maxwell House International, aligning it with the well-known Maxwell House coffee brand.
