Michael Ettmüller
Michael Ettmüller (26 May 1644 – 9 March 1683) was a prominent German physician and anatomist of the 17th century. He is best known for his contributions to the field of medicine and his role as a professor at the University of Leipzig.

Michael Ettmüller was born in Leipzig, Electorate of Saxony, on 26 May 1644. He pursued his early education in Leipzig and later attended the University of Leipzig, where he studied medicine and anatomy. Ettmüller earned his MD degree in 1666.

After completing his studies, Ettmüller began his academic career at the University of Leipzig. He was appointed as a professor of anatomy and surgery in 1668. Ettmüller was known for his detailed and systematic approach to teaching, which greatly influenced the medical curriculum at the university.
