Miss Vickie's
Miss Vickie's[edit | edit source]
Miss Vickie's is a Canadian brand of potato chips owned by Frito-Lay. The brand was founded in 1987 by Vickie and Bill Kerr in Newmarket, Ontario. The Kerrs started making kettle-cooked potato chips as a way to offer a high-quality, flavourful product that would stand out in the market. Today, Miss Vickie's offers a variety of flavours, including Original Recipe, Sea Salt and Vinegar, Jalapeño, and Sweet Chili & Sour Cream.
History[edit | edit source]
Vickie Kerr and her husband, Bill Kerr, started Miss Vickie's in 1987 on their potato farm in Newmarket, Ontario. They began by experimenting with different cooking methods and flavours, eventually settling on kettle-cooking as their preferred method. The brand quickly gained popularity for its unique, flavourful chips and commitment to quality.
In 1993, Miss Vickie's was acquired by Frito-Lay, a subsidiary of PepsiCo. Despite the acquisition, the brand has maintained its commitment to quality and continues to use the same kettle-cooking method that made it popular.
Products[edit | edit source]
Miss Vickie's offers a variety of potato chip flavours. Some of the most popular include:

- Sea Salt and Vinegar: These chips have a tangy vinegar flavour balanced with a hint of sea salt.
- Jalapeño: These chips offer a spicy kick, with the flavour of real jalapeño peppers.
- Sweet Chili & Sour Cream: These chips combine the sweetness of chili with the tanginess of sour cream for a unique flavour experience.

Miss Vickie's chips are available in grocery stores, convenience stores, and online retailers across Canada and the United States. They are also available in select international markets.
