Mitchell "Mitch" Robinson (born 7 June 1989) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Carlton Football Club.

Early life[edit | edit source]

Robinson was born in Hobart, Tasmania. He played his junior football with the Tassie Mariners in the TAC Cup and represented Tasmania at the AFL Under 18 Championships.

AFL career[edit | edit source]

Carlton[edit | edit source]

Robinson was drafted by the Carlton Football Club with the 40th pick in the 2008 AFL Draft. He made his debut in the 2009 season and quickly became known for his aggressive playing style and versatility on the field. Over his six seasons with Carlton, Robinson played 100 games and kicked 58 goals.

Brisbane Lions[edit | edit source]

In 2014, Robinson was delisted by Carlton and subsequently picked up by the Brisbane Lions as a free agent. He has since become a key player for the Lions, known for his toughness and leadership on the field. As of the end of the 2021 season, Robinson has played 147 games and kicked 72 goals for Brisbane.

Robinson is known for his hard-nosed approach to the game, often playing as a midfielder or forward. His physicality and determination have made him a fan favorite and a respected player among his peers.
