History

Mugaritz was established in 1998 by chef Andoni Luis Aduriz. After training with some of the world's top chefs, including Ferran Adria at El Bulli, Aduriz returned to his native Basque Country to open Mugaritz. The restaurant quickly gained international acclaim for its innovative approach to Basque cuisine.

Cuisine

The cuisine at Mugaritz is often described as avant-garde or molecular gastronomy, but Aduriz prefers to call it "techno-emotional" cuisine.
