Mukden Medical College

Mukden Medical College is a historical medical institution located in Mukden, now known as Shenyang, in the Liaoning province of China. The college was established in 1911 and was the first medical college in Northeast China. It was later incorporated into the China Medical University in 1949.

Mukden Medical College was established in 1911, during the late Qing Dynasty. It was the first medical college in Northeast China and was initially funded by the government of the Qing Dynasty. The college was later incorporated into the China Medical University in 1949, following the establishment of the People's Republic of China.

Curriculum[edit | edit source]

The curriculum at Mukden Medical College was based on Western medical education models, with a focus on clinical practice and research. The college offered a variety of courses in basic medical sciences, clinical medicine, and public health.

Notable Alumni[edit | edit source]

Many notable medical professionals graduated from Mukden Medical College, including Zhang Xichun, a famous Chinese physician who was known for integrating traditional Chinese medicine with Western medicine.

Today, the legacy of Mukden Medical College lives on in the China Medical University, which continues to be a leading institution for medical education and research in China.
