- Enhance the use of these resources in plant breeding and genetic research
- Facilitate access to and exchange of information, knowledge and materials related to bananas
Structure[edit | edit source]
MusaNet is composed of several thematic groups, each focusing on a specific area of banana research. These include:
- Genetic Resources Thematic Group
- Taxonomy and Nomenclature Thematic Group
- Breeding and Molecular Genetics Thematic Group
- Disease and Pest Management Thematic Group
- Socioeconomics and Marketing Thematic Group
Each thematic group is led by a coordinator and includes researchers and scientists from around the world.
Activities[edit | edit source]
