Nabil Shaban is a British actor, writer, and activist known for his work in the entertainment industry and his advocacy for disability rights. He was born on February 27, 1953, in Amman, Jordan. Shaban is best known for his role as Sil, a villainous character in the popular British science fiction television series Doctor Who.

Shaban was born with a condition called osteogenesis imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease, which has resulted in him being a wheelchair user.
