Napaskiak
Napaskiak is a city located in the Bethel Census Area of the U.S. state of Alaska. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 13.0 square miles, of which, 12.5 square miles of it is land and 0.5 square miles of it (3.85%) is water.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
As of the census of 2000, there were 405 people, 89 households, and 76 families residing in the city. The population density was 32.4 people per square mile. There were 97 housing units at an average density of 7.8 per square mile.
Healthcare[edit | edit source]
Napaskiak is served by the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC). The YKHC operates the Paul John Calricaraq Bethel Clinic, which provides comprehensive primary healthcare services to the residents of Napaskiak and surrounding areas. The clinic offers a range of services including family medicine, pediatrics, women's health, behavioral health, and dental care.
Education[edit | edit source]
The city is served by the Lower Kuskokwim School District. Napaskiak School, a K-12 campus, provides education for the children of the city.
Transportation[edit | edit source]
Napaskiak is accessible only by boat or air. The Napaskiak Airport provides scheduled passenger service to Bethel.
