- Nellis Air Force Base (AFB) is a United States Air Force installation located in Clark County, Nevada. It is situated in the northeast corner of the Las Vegas metropolitan area, approximately eight miles from downtown Las Vegas. The base covers more than 14,000 acres and hosts more than 10,000 personnel.
