The New York Rangers are a professional ice hockey team based in New York City. They are members of the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference in the National Hockey League (NHL). The team was founded in 1926 and has won the Stanley Cup four times.

The New York Rangers were established in 1926 by Tex Rickard, the president of Madison Square Garden. The team quickly became successful, winning their first Stanley Cup in the 1927–28 season. The Rangers won additional Stanley Cups in 1932–33, 1939–40, and 1993–94.
Home Arena[edit | edit source]
The Rangers play their home games at Madison Square Garden, often referred to as "The Garden." Located in Manhattan, it is one of the most famous arenas in the world and also hosts the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Team Colors and Mascot[edit | edit source]
The team's colors are blue, red, and white. The Rangers do not have an official mascot, which is relatively uncommon in the NHL.
