North China University of Science and Technology (NCUST) is a comprehensive university located in Tangshan, Hebei province, China. It is known for its strong emphasis on engineering, science, and technology disciplines.

NCUST was established in 1958 as the Tangshan Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Over the years, it has undergone several name changes and expansions. In 1996, it was renamed Hebei Polytechnic University. In 2010, it merged with North China Coal Medical University to form the current North China University of Science and Technology.
