North East, MD
North East, MD is a small town located in Cecil County, Maryland, United States. The town is named after the North East River, which flows to the Chesapeake Bay. It is a part of the Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington, PA-NJ-DE-MD Metropolitan Statistical Area.

- The town of North East was first settled by the English in the 18th century and was incorporated in 1850. It was a major trading and shipping point in the 18th century due to its location near the Chesapeake Bay.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- North East is located at 39°36′01″N 75°56′32″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.6 square miles, all of it land.
