Office of Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York
The Office of Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York (OCME) is a government agency responsible for investigating deaths and performing autopsies in New York City. The OCME operates under the jurisdiction of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
