Oklahoma
Oklahoma is a U.S. state located in the South Central United States. Known informally as "The Sooner State", it is bordered by Texas to the south and west, Arkansas and Missouri to the east, and Kansas and Colorado to the north.

The history of Oklahoma can be traced back to the arrival of the Native Americans who migrated from other regions of North America. The state's name is derived from the Choctaw words "okla" and "humma", meaning "red people". Oklahoma was part of the Louisiana Purchase of 1803 and became a destination for white settlers during the late 19th century Land Runs.

Oklahoma is the 20th-largest state in the U.S. by area, covering 69,899 square miles. It is characterized by a diverse landscape that includes the Great Plains, hills, lakes, and forests. The state is divided into two primary geographical regions: the eastern Ouachita Mountains and the western Great Plains.

The economy of Oklahoma is largely dependent on the oil, natural gas, and agricultural sectors. The state is a major producer of natural gas, oil, and agricultural products, and is also home to a growing aerospace and biotechnological industry.
