Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) is a public university located in Oslo, Norway. It was established on January 1, 2018, following the merger of Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences (HiOA) and the Norwegian School of Information Technology (NITH). The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.

Oslo Metropolitan University traces its roots back to 1818 with the establishment of the Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences. Over the years, the institution expanded its academic offerings and facilities. In 2018, it was granted university status and adopted its current name.

Campuses[edit | edit source]

OsloMet has two main campuses:

  • Pilestredet Campus: Located in the heart of Oslo, this campus houses most of the university's faculties and administrative offices.
  • Kjeller Campus: Situated in the municipality of Lillestrøm, this campus focuses on technology and engineering programs.
