Penn State Abington
Penn State Abington is a commonwealth campus of Pennsylvania State University located in Abington, Pennsylvania. It is one of the largest campuses in the Penn State system, offering a wide range of undergraduate programs and serving a diverse student body.

Penn State Abington traces its origins back to 1950 when it was established as the Ogontz Center. The campus was originally an extension of the Ogontz School for Young Ladies, a private school founded in 1850. In 1950, the school was acquired by Pennsylvania State University and transformed into a commonwealth campus. The name was changed to Penn State Abington in 1997 to reflect its integration into the Penn State system.
Academics[edit | edit source]
Penn State Abington offers a variety of undergraduate degree programs, including Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees. The campus provides programs in fields such as business, psychology, information sciences and technology, and nursing. Students can also begin their studies at Abington and complete their degrees at another Penn State campus through the 2+2 Plan.

The campus is situated on 45 acres of wooded land in Abington Township. It features a mix of historic and modern buildings, including the Sutherland Building, which houses administrative offices and classrooms, and the Lares Building, which serves as the student center. The campus also includes the Woodland Building, which contains science laboratories and faculty offices.
