Pepsi Max
Pepsi Max is a low-calorie, sugar-free carbonated soft drink, produced by the company PepsiCo. It was first introduced in the United Kingdom and Italy in 1993, and has since been distributed worldwide.
History[edit | edit source]
PepsiCo introduced Pepsi Max as a response to the growing demand for low-calorie, sugar-free alternatives to regular soft drinks. The drink was initially launched in the United Kingdom and Italy in 1993, and was later introduced in other countries, including the United States in 2006.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
Pepsi Max is sweetened with aspartame and acesulfame potassium (Ace-K) to achieve its sugar-free status. It also contains carbonated water, caramel color, phosphoric acid, caffeine, and natural flavors.
Variations[edit | edit source]
Over the years, Pepsi Max has been released in several different flavors, including Cherry, Ginger, Vanilla, and Raspberry. These variations often coincide with specific marketing campaigns or promotional events.
Reception[edit | edit source]
Pepsi Max has been well-received in many markets, particularly in Europe and Australia, where it often competes directly with Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. However, its reception in the United States has been more mixed, with some consumers preferring the taste of other diet colas.
