Pepsi Perfect is a fictional beverage prominently featured in the 1989 science fiction film Back to the Future Part II. It is a product of the PepsiCo company, a multinational food, snack, and beverage corporation.
Overview[edit | edit source]
In Back to the Future Part II, Pepsi Perfect is depicted as a vitamin-enriched variety of Pepsi, a popular carbonated soft drink. The beverage is served in a distinctive bottle with a lid that flips open. The film, set in the year 2015, presents Pepsi Perfect as a symbol of the futuristic setting.
Real-world release[edit | edit source]
In 2015, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Back to the Future franchise and the year in which the second film is set, PepsiCo released a limited edition of Pepsi Perfect. The company produced 6,500 bottles of the beverage, which were sold online and at select events. Each bottle contained 16.9 ounces of Pepsi Made with Real Sugar and was sold in a collectible case.
Reception[edit | edit source]
The limited release of Pepsi Perfect was met with a mixed reception. Some fans of the Back to the Future franchise were disappointed by the limited availability and high price of the product. However, others praised the company's commitment to recreating the distinctive bottle design from the film.
