Perinthalmanna
Perinthalmanna is a town and municipality in the Malappuram district of the Indian state of Kerala. It is a major medical hub of the state, with several prominent hospitals and medical institutions located in the area.

Perinthalmanna has a rich history dating back to the ancient times. It was part of the Kingdom of Valluvanad, which was a former feudal state in present-day Kerala. The town has witnessed several historical events, including the Mysorean invasion of Malabar.

Perinthalmanna is located in the southern part of the Malappuram district. It is surrounded by the Nilgiri Hills to the east, the Arabian Sea to the west, and the Palakkad district to the south. The town has a tropical climate with high humidity levels throughout the year.

Perinthalmanna is known as the 'Medical City' of Kerala due to the presence of several major hospitals and healthcare institutions. These include the Al Shifa Hospital, MES Medical College, and the Moulana Hospital. These institutions offer a wide range of medical services, from general medicine to specialized treatments.

Perinthalmanna is known for its rich cultural heritage. The town hosts several cultural and religious festivals throughout the year, including the Valluvanad Pooram, which is one of the biggest temple festivals in Kerala.

Perinthalmanna is well-connected by road and rail. The town has a major bus station and is also served by the Shoranur–Mangalore section of the Southern Railway zone.
