Philz Coffee is a San Francisco-based coffeehouse chain known for its custom blends and unique brewing method. Founded by Phil Jaber in 2003, the company has since expanded to multiple locations across the United States.

Phil Jaber, the founder of Philz Coffee, started his journey in the coffee industry in the 1970s. He spent 25 years perfecting his own blends, combining beans from around the world to create unique flavors. In 2003, he converted his corner grocery store in San Francisco's Mission District into the first Philz Coffee location.

Philz Coffee is renowned for its custom blends, each created by Phil Jaber himself. Some of the most popular blends include Tesora, a medium roast blend, and Jacob's Wonderbar, a dark roast blend. Each cup of coffee at Philz is brewed one cup at a time, using a method that is a hybrid of pour over and immersion brewing.

As of 2021, Philz Coffee operates over 50 locations across the United States, including in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Washington D.C., and Chicago. Each location is designed to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for customers.
