Phineas J. Horwitz

Phineas Jonathan Horwitz (1822–1904) was an American physician and surgeon who served as a medical officer in the United States Navy. He is notable for his contributions to naval medicine and his role in the development of medical practices within the Navy.

Phineas Jonathan Horwitz was born in 1822. He pursued his medical education at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned his M.D. degree.
