Pietro Rava

Pietro Rava (1916-2006) was an Italian professional footballer and football manager. He is best known for his successful career as a defender for the Italian national team and Juventus F.C. during the 1930s and 1940s.

Born on January 21, 1916, in Cassine, Italy, Rava began his football career at a young age, playing for local clubs before being scouted by Juventus.

Playing Career[edit | edit source]

Rava made his debut for Juventus in 1935 and quickly established himself as a key player in the team's defense. Known for his strong tackling and tactical awareness, he played a crucial role in Juventus' success during the pre-World War II era.

Internationally, Rava represented Italy in numerous international football tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup in 1938. He was part of the Italian team that won the tournament, showcasing his defensive prowess and leadership on the field.

After retiring as a player, Rava transitioned into coaching, where he continued to contribute to the development of young football talent in Italy.
